Regrind brings server setup, map selection, Steam joining and practice controls into one desktop interface. Rust manages the server lifecycle while React presents verified state. It works independently of True Grind accounts and services.
What was built
- MIT-licensed application built with Tauri, React, TypeScript and Rust, with a native Win32 process bridge.
- Official maps, a curated Workshop library with search and filters, individual map imports and local favorites.
- Round, ammunition, grenade and bot controls, with server and map readiness checked before joining.
- Windows x64 prerelease with an unsigned installer; Windows 11 is the tested platform. Setup needs Steam, CS2, internet and 90 GB free for a separate server installation.
- Solo sessions only. Workshop training belongs to each map; multiplayer, saved lineups and original drills remain planned work. Offline play is not promised.
